New Year's Ready

Peplum Sweater // Similar Necklace // Similar Shoes (closed toe version) // Wristlet old - Love this one // Jeans  - 50% off! // Eye Makeup // Curling Wand // Lips

Happy Tuesday! I always think it's fun to add a little sparkle and glitz to any outfit, and what better time to do that then for New Years Eve! This outfit is versatile enough, whether you are going out or staying in, and you can change out the shoes for a more casual look, or add a pair of dress pants to dress it up more. I found this top recently at Loft and I couldn't pass it up because of the peplum style, I die for anything peplum! It is a little dressier because the sleeves are blousen and they have a sweet button closure, and the peplum hem is so flowy and gives it a glam feel. I added a pair of a sequined pumps to dress it up a little and give it some glam, these shoes are actually the ones I wore on our wedding day, they are surprisingly really comfortable. They unfortunately aren't available anymore but the brand INC from Macy's still makes similar shoes with the sequins. These are so sweet with the bow!
I hope this gives you some ideas for what to wear on New Year's Eve. Let me know in the comments your favorite party wear.

My Winter Skincare Routine

Happy Saturday everyone! I hope you all have had a great week! Today I am sharing my winter skincare routine. This routine has been my tried and true routine for about a year now, and I have added to it since the weather has turned colder. I would say my skin is combination skin, I used to have really oily skin, that was prone to breakouts, and was always looking for products to control the oil, but as I have gotten older my skin has changed to more dry/combination skin. It is nice that I don't have to carry blotting papers everywhere with me, but it has been a challenge to find a new skin care routine to fit my changing skin. I like to look for products now that help with brightening and hydrating my skin as well as help with wrinkles.
I have been using the Boscia brand ever since I was pregnant which was about a year and a half ago, and I have fallen in love with all of their products. The cleanser is so gentle and it is great at removing all of my makeup. I have also used the Makeup-Breakup Cool Cleansing Oil (here) and it does a wonderful job of removing all of your makeup, and then I follow up with the Purifying Cleansing Gel. Once I have cleansed my face I always like to use a toner, whether it be with a cotton pad or just a spray on toner, I feel it is so refreshing and it preps your skin for you moisturizer. The Balancing Facial Tonic is so light and absorbs into your skin leaving it soft and smooth. In the morning I follow up with the Oil-Free Daily Hydration moisturizer, and what's great is that it has SPF 15 in it, so you won't have to follow up with a sunscreen.

To follow my moisturizer in the morning, I like to apply the Sunday Riley Good Genes , this helps brighten and plump up your skin, and gives you a nice radiant glow. It also helps with any hyper-pigmentation, which I have noticed a difference in my redness and dark spots after using this for a period of time. At night, I love the Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil, this helps fight wrinkles and again plumps your skin and even makes your pores look smaller. I thought using an oil would break out my skin, but it is the opposite, it has helped my skin tremendously, and helps with previous breakouts and the scarring.

During the winter my skin gets so dry and flaky if I don't use a strong moisturizer. I came across Clinique's Moisture Surge Intense recently, and oh my goodness the difference it has made in my skins dryness. It is a gel creme, so it doesn't feel heavy or like you are wearing a mask, but it absorbs into your skin and it feels so hydrating the second you put it on. I usually put this all over my face at night, and sometimes in the morning if my skin is feeling extra dry.

About once a week I like to use a face scrub that helps remove all the dead skin and helps exfoliate my skin. I have been loving the Fresh Sugar Face Polish it has real brown sugar and strawberries in it, and it smells amazing! It is great at removing all dead skin and helps with dullness and dryness, so your skin will appear brighter and more radiant, it's perfect for the winter months.

These are all products that have helped with my dry/combination skin, and that I have been using for quite a while, so I know they work for me. I like to have a routine of products and these are all great, and have made a difference in my skins texture, and brightness. I hope this post is helpful for you and you are able to try out some of these products. Thanks so much for reading, and have a great weekend!

The Perfect Christmas Shoes

shoes and black here // jacket // bow sweater - sold out  (similar herehere and here) // choker // lipstick // phone case // wristlet old but love this one!

Hey everyone! The countdown is on! Less than two weeks until Christmas! I am so excited for the holidays each and every year, but this year is going to be so special. Capri is older and more aware of what is going on this year and I can't wait to see her face on Christmas morning!

I was on the hunt for the perfect pair of Christmas shoes, and I was a little weary of ordering these online, without trying them on, but, OH MY GOODNESS!! They do not disappoint! The color is perfect, the heal is perfect, the little gemstone detailing is just...perfect! These are seriously the most perfect Christmas shoes for a party, or just to wear to dress up a normal every day outfit, which is what I did. I love that they are simple enough to wear every day, even to work, or they can be dressed up with a little black dress for the holidays. The stacked heal makes them so comfortable and more practical to walk in during the winter months. My jacket is still available and so adorable (plus it's 40% off)! It has this little ruffle on the front that makes it so sweet and feminine and perfect for wearing over dresses or with a skirt. I hope you enjoyed today's post and let me know in the comments if you have a favorite Christmas outfit or accessory. Have a great day!

Cognac Faux Leather Jacket

Hey everyone! I hope you are all are having a great week! This time of year is so busy and chaotic, I feel like my head is spinning trying to keep everything straight! This time of year goes by so fast I am just trying to take it all in and hope that time slows down just a little.
This fall one color I have been obsessing over is this cognac color so when I saw this faux leather jacket, I knew immediately it had to be a part of my wardrobe. It is so soft, and what I love most about this color is that it goes great with black and olive green. Also, these t-shirts are a must! they are a mixed media style with a high side slit and high-low hem. They are perfect for layering under cardigans or jackets this fall and winter. Let me know what colors you are loving for fall and winter! Have a great week!
